Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin together with his wife Devorah moved to Ilford, Essex in 1983, following in the footsteps of his parents who moved to the area in 1976. The first Chabad House of 1500 sq. foot was opened on 1983. In January 2001 Chabad moved into its New & refurbished 4,000 sq. foot centre. It houses its synagogue, The "ADS" Lending Library, named after Rabbi Sufrin's late father, who passed away in 1997, Nursery School, Hebrew Classes, counselling services, and the unique services of Drugsline-Chabad, a non-denominational crisis line & drugs education outreach programme.
Rabbi Sufrin is Director of the centre, Drugsline Chabad and Rabbi to our own Synagogue, Beis Hamedrash Chabad.
Mrs Devorah Sufrin heads special projects including The Monthly Womens Circle, Sunday Cheder Classes and children's service on Shabbat and Festivals, Bat Mitzvah Classes, Bat Mitzvah Clubs, Marriage Preparation Classes, and editor of "What's News Magazine" produced 4 times a year.
Rabbi Moshe Muller

Rabbi Moshe moved to Ilford together with his wife Brocho in 1996. Their responsibilities include, youth activities throughout the year, Mitzvah Campaigns, Director of our well established & successful summer & winter Day Camps, Koshering kitchens, Teffilin & Mezuzah home checking & replacement services, festival programmes, home visits to the infirm & housebound, under 35's Friday night meals and special programmes, teenage summer and winter programmes and the day to day running of the Centre .
Rabbi Muller is assistant Rabbi to our Synagogue - Beis Hamedrash Chabad.
Rabbi Odom Brandman together with his wife Henny moved to Ilford in 2005. Their goal is to establish a new Chabad House in Buckhurst Hill.
In addition to all the responsibilities with the setting up of a Chabad house and its smooth running. Rabbi Brandman and Henny will be leading the Centre's well established and successful summer and winter day camps, youth letter and extra curricular associated activities.
Mrs Hennie Sufrin moved to Ilford with her late husband (obm) Rev Aron Dov (AD) Sufrin in 1976. Together they worked tirelesly to lay the foundations for Chabad Lubavitch. They moved during the days when it was unfashionable to be outside of anywhere other than Stamford Hill or Golders Green.
Their son Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin and his wife Devorah joined them in 1983 after their marriage and began building in urnest on the ground work that had now been prepared to build what is known today as the thriving Chabad Lubavitch Centre. Since the passing of Rev Sufrin ob"m in 1997, Mrs Hennie Sufrin has continued to play an active leading role in the Education services offered by the Chabad Centre.
Hennie, is best known for her lively "Irish" open character, leading with zest the Tuesdays ladies sem and numerous other ladies classes throughout the week. Many in the community and beyond telephone her and visit her to share their woes, seeking some "chizuk" and inspiration which they always find after contacting her.
